‘In her conceptual fine art photographs the American artist Stephanie Pfriender Stylander, a recipient of the prestigious Lucie Award and the American Photography Award, conceives a metaphoric body of work that explores the psychic occurrences that transpire in between the universal us. Pfriender Stylander plays the role of the subject and the photographer as a shrouded ambiguous figure and acts as a female container with a visual coded vocabulary, with the intent to stir memory and imagination. Her images probe the visceral, thus embracing a disrobing of experiences in our inner life.'

The Roar of Silence series was selected for a group exhibition of works by women photographers, “Segreto”, at the Centro Internazionale De Fotografia, Palermo, Sicily in 2018.’ Tracy Morgan, New York
